This chart shows percentages that children should be intelligible, or understood by listeners.

Age, Speech Intelligibility Level

· 19-24 months , 25% - 50% (i.e. Half of everything a 2 year old says should be clearly understood by listeners)

· 2-3 years , 50% - 75%

· 4-5 years , 75% - 90%

· 5+ years , 90% - 100%
